15-07-2008: Mozilla claims Guinness record for downloads

The Guinness record for downloads is officially announced by Mozilla. The company informed that over 8 million people downloaded Firefox 3. In today’s RankingCEE read also about the plans of Yahoo and Google to improve the demand for their products.

01-07-2008: Lithuania: Firefox superstate

In this RankingCEE edition we continue to inform you about World Download Day of Firefox. As it turned out, Lithuania is the superstate of Firefox downloading in CEE region. Having an insight into online market in Poland, we would like to announce that MSN is already launched in Polish. Whether it would be in the ranking list of the Top 10, the time will show. 17-06-2008: The premier of Firefox 3.x 

 The latest technology and modern solutions makes browsing the Internet more easy and comfortable. Thanks to the new version of Firefox 3.x we will have the opportunity to look through the websites faster. In order to facilitate the enjoyment of writing e-mails by Ukrainian Internet users Yandex has provided the Ukrainian interface of the mail. 03-06-2008: Online advertising market

The online advertising market is developing extremely quickly. Despite uncertainty in the state of economy nowadays, 2007 was a record year. According to the IAB report Poland is ahead in Middle Eastern Europe with regard to the Internet advertising market.  In this edition we also provide you with Megapanel’s March results which have already been released.

Most websites aim to provide various and interesting ways to facilitate user interaction, but Social Networks go further and the way they work is by collecting the profiles of members. That's the reason why the number of social network users in Europe is bound to double.

06-05-2008: Russia: database owners to be registered

The Russian Federal Supervisory Service on Communications, Mass Media and Culture Protection (Rossvyazohrankultura) registered an ordinance to introduce special lists of various database owners and operators. According to the Rossiyskaya Gazeta, every operator engaged in personal data processing is included in the registry. The given list will be available to any user who would like to find out why a given organisation is collecting personal information and the purpose for this.
